We work with Childcare.co.uk on an ongoing basis and a lot of what we do for it is creative PR for SEO. Our recent story generated some fantastic PR results!
The idea:
Childcare.co.uk is the leading platform for all childcare providers and much of what we do for this client is creative PR to build links for them from sites with a high Domain Authority (DA).
We know that stories with a strong personal finance angle work well and we wanted to include something that we thought would resonate with Childcare.co.uk’s users… toys!
Our creative idea was to run a ‘Cash in the Attic’-style story featuring a list of once-common toys that might have been bought years ago for a reasonable price but now could be worth a lot of money.
To create the list, we partnered with toy expert Peter Jenkinson of Toyology (a leading authority on toys) to identify which commonly-owned toys would now potentially fetch a good price, as well as a list of toys available today that could become collectible in years to come.
Once the list had been created and hosted on the Childcare.co.uk’s website, we wrote a press release featuring the top valuable toys. We then issued the story to our contacts that we thought would be interested.
As we expected, the story was a hit and generated some great PR results for Childcare.co.uk!
PR results:
Outputs:
137 pieces of coverage including on The Sun, The Mirror and The Scotsman.
Outcomes:
267 links from media sites, including ones with a high DA – such as The Mirror (93), The Scotsman (89), Daily Record (84) and Yorkshire Post (73).
